WebJul 8, 2024 · They expected that the source IP address would be the same given either -I lo or -I 127.0.0.1. That is, in neither of those cases would a source IP address from eth0 be used. The observed behavior is that a source address was chosen from eth0 when -I lo was specified. BTW -I device is (deliberately) treated different way than -I address.
