WebThis is a followup to some of the posts below -- if your frame creaks like mine did - check the cable braze-on where it leaves the down-tube to go under the BB - my cable-end was simply creaking in it's holder when the susp. went active. A bit of waterproof grease solved it. WebThis is my only full suspension bike. I've had this bike about a year and ride East Tennessee trails 5 times a week. I've bent the derailleur hanger on it couple of times trying to climb some wicked rocks, but other than that I haven't had any problems. I am seroiusly considering racing this bike with no upgrades other than what I specified above.
WebThe traction is good, and the drivetrain is amazing- never a hitch, with GT's iDrive technology. The bike is light, takes abuse well, and climbs like a hardtail. Weakness: A slight creak in the suspension, and little clicks while pedaling. Road a 2001 1.0 I-drive for one tear and put over 2,000 miles on it. 90% dirt.
